Charter school application process
First, submit your application
Submitting your application online is the fastest and easiest way to connect with your school’s registrar. This application will ask for contact information, student information, and school-specific details. Families with multiple children who plan to attend the same school can submit their application in one session.
Our application process is safe and easy. Your information will not be shared with parties outside of Charter One and the school of your choice.

Next, review enrollment and lottery details
Once the school registrar has received your application, you will be contacted directly for next steps. If your application was submitted BEFORE the open enrollment deadline, you will be sent instructions on how to complete the enrollment process. If your application was submitted AFTER the open enrollment deadline, your family will automatically be added to the lottery.
Lottery Notification
Families who apply by the start of February (missing open enrollment deadlines), will automatically be added to the lottery. Results of the lottery will be shared at the start of March.
Acceptance
If you are selected during the lottery draw, you will receive information on how to enroll your child(ren). Be sure to respond to this message quickly to secure your child(ren)’s spot.
Waitlist
If your family is not selected during the lottery, you will automatically be added to the waitlist. Waitlisted students will continue to receive updates based on enrollment.

Finally, finish the enrollment process
Once your student is accepted (during the open enrollment process or after the lottery draw), you will be sent the enrollment packet and instructions on how to complete enrollment online. This enrollment packet will ask questions about your student’s previous education, medical history and needs, and other pertinent details. Families with multiple children will have to submit multiple enrollment packets.
You may drop off completed enrollment packets at your school during office hours or online. If you choose to complete the enrollment process online, you can feel confident that your information is secure. Enrollment information is only shared with the school you selected.
